What you'll do
Etna Tour morning is our half-day itinerary to discover the volcano, which combines a visit to ancient craters at an altitude of 2000 meters and a light trekking through a path immersed in volcanic landscapes.
We will make the pickup in front of your accommodation in Catania or in the surrounding areas between 8.30 and 9.00 in the morning.
It takes about an hour of driving to reach Rifugio Sapienza;
the first stage at an altitude of 2000 meters at the Silvestri Craters.
Our naturalistic guide will explain to you the various volcanic phenomena that have occurred over time. The walk will last 1 hour and a half, maximum 2. Second stop: visit to a lava cave with torches and helmets.
At the end of the tour we will offer you a typical Sicilian snack.
The tour lasts about 5/6 hours, we will return to Catania at 15.00
Our minivan can accommodate a maximum of 8 people.
Other things to note
I recommend wearing: tennis shoes, long pants and anorak.
