What you'll do
Meeting in Portland, we head east to the mythical Columbia Scenic Gorge, a jaw-dropping forested canyon located between Mt. Hood and St. Helens, for at least four falls in four hours, including Multnomah Falls! Over 600 feet and running year-round, this is Oregon's most famous, but you may like Horsetail, Wahkeena or Latourell even more! Plus, we drive the Historic Columbia Highway--an engineering marvel and America's first official scenic by-way--curving and cliff-hugging past Multnomah Lodge, Vista House, and Chanticleer Point for more epic views from above! We will visit a campsite of Lewis & Clark, Sacagawea, York and the Corps of Discovery. We'll wind along the fabled Union Pacific railroad through authentic old-town Troutdale, the "Gateway to the Gorge." And, we can pop into place that epitomizes Oregon culture--McMenamin's Edgefield Lodge, a historic building now refurbished and preserved as hotel, eateries, brewery, distillery, winery, garden, farm and Portlanders' favorite outdoor concert venue. This tour is as "Oregon" as it gets--your mind will burst with information, imagination and inspiration after this experience.

Adam's tour was amazing. His tour of the Gorge was professional yet personable, and his passion for the geography and history of Oregon is apparent.
The areas covered comprised several incredible views of the Columbia River gorge, as well as Multnomah, Bridal Veil. and Latourell Falls (another area was closed at the time after a mudslide closed the road in, but we were able to tour several Portland and Troutdale parks as well.
Our family had an excellent and unforgettable experience, learned a great deal, and the three hour period flew by. I would highly recommened the trip, and will definitely book a trip touring other local areas the next time we visit.
