Hosted in Greek, English, French

What you'll do

You will learn to shade, give perspective, sketch, and highlight. We will take the city ferry and go up to a point by water then to the little mermaid by foot or scooter, practice, and then come back to Nyhavn ( the multicolored port) to drink a cocoa, a beer or even eat something if time permits. You will stock on pictures to practice your watercolors. (book two slots for this tour, total 3 hours). If you are more interested in learning than doing tourism, then we use all the time we have and the material I have, for a private, crash course in basics. You will come out of this workshop with a new understanding and having learned the key to spectacular drawing. Yes, there is a trick.

I decided to do this tour, and offer the opportunity to travelers to hear stories about the mermaid ( she was beheaded 3 times, for example), but also the Danish life from an Expat's point of view, the good and bad. A non touristic, genuine, honest outlook (and why we stayed) from the outside in and inside out. This tour combines landmark talks, learning a skill, creating a memory but also the most unique memorabilia for you to frame, your own creation.

The workshop is for the travelers that want to learn portrait drawing, sketching, shading, and techniques for pencils , but also ballpoint.

Studied w T.Moraiti, a renown painter but my father had strong objections. Being Greek he did not share the love of art my French mother had. My aunt, a poet/musician and artist, would take me to Monmartre and shamelessly ask people to pay me for my doodles. I became a singer and a writer/event planner. Later a therapist to deal with all the ups and downs of a globe trotter and a renaissance woman (in curves mostly). I married a Dane, life took a different turn, but drawing was always here to ground me, help me focus and make me see the details I missed. People asked me for art lessons and I was offered art teaching positions. If you always wanted to know how to shade and create lifelike drawings, this is the best time to do it https://paintings.nicoleforup.com/#share?id=1a6910a3-8b14-43d8-898c-4d99bebaf451

Great experience. Nicole is nice and friendly and ready to help anyway she can. There is a lot that you can learn from her. She customises the lesson according to the skill of the person which makes it easy to understand even things that look complicated.

The time we spent with Nicole was very inspiring and eye-opening. She taught us the importance of focusing on general shape and shading, instead of being caught up in the details and accuracy of the drawing. Not only that but she imparted her knowledge about life in general. Would recommend her to anyone seeking to improve their drawing skills and widen their perspective.

Nicole was an amazing person to meet while on my vacation to Copenhagen. I learned so much from her in such a short amount of time. I am now home in DC and have been trying out some of the drawing techniques she taught me about. It was really an inspirational experience and I cannot say enough great things about Nicole. My only regret is that I didn't have more time on my trip! I would completely recommend her to anyone wanting to learn about art, life, anything, with a wonderful person.
