What you'll do
Join us for our eco-friendly sightseeing tour where you'll soak up the Texas sun & take in breathtaking views of the downtown skyline, vibrant scenery & witness more than 1 1/2 million take flight from the Congress Avenue Bridge, all from the comfort of our versatile kayaks!
*Disclaimer*
Peak season for the "Bat Show" is March-September. Once a cold front comes in, the bats get the signal to migrate back to home base for winter. So, there’s a small possibility the bats won’t put on a show. We'll still give you a full breakdown on bats living in the bridge, no worries!

I moved to Austin 6 years ago and have been loving this beautiful city every day since. Born and raised in New York City, I've spent time as a professional tour guide in the Florida Everglades, Upstate New York and throughout South and Central America. When I'm not on the water kayaking, you can find me riding or building custom, sustainable bicycles or playing with my adorable 2 year old daughter.
Where you'll be
We meet at the Holiday Inn Boat Ramp where we will launch our kayaks. The activity will start and end at this location.

We had a blast with our whole family. Six people (2 adults, 4 kids) was not too much for Gabrielle to wrangle! He was so patient with our kids! We had a really smooth kayak adventure. Learned about birds, the city and the bats. We even got up close and personal with some turtles. Gabrielle has a great personality and made this a really fun experience! The weather was great even in January. Made for a memorable birthday adventure! Highly recommend!

Gabe is a superb guide and made this trip a great experience! He drops gems about the history of the area and points out interesting animals along the way. The kayaking tips he shared definitely helped me save energy and power through. Gabe took me through some of the cool canals they got and although the bats were unfortunately not out in full force (winter) I was able to hear them loud and clear! I did the sunset trip this time, next time I'm in Austin I'm definitely coming back for one during the day, thanks Gabe!

Gabriel is an excellent guide! He was super friendly and I had a lot of fun kayaking, seeing wildlife, the city views, and meeting new people!
I chose the 5 pm - 7 pm slot, we got to see the sunset and we were in the water for a good hour or so after sundown. Gabe provided us with headlamps which allowed us to continue kayaking under the night sky! It can get chilly depending on the weather conditions, so do bring layers!
I would highly recommend this experience to anyone, even if you've never gone kayaking before. The activity is very beginner-friendly and Gabriel did a great job of making everyone feel comfortable.

Gabriel was a great guide and did great with my family’s short trip on the river. He shared his knowledge of the local wildlife and adjusted the trip based on our limitations. He was also kind enough to tow our youngest back because she got too tired. I’d recommend Gabriel again.
