What you'll do
If we ask about the origin of mezcal, our feet are smeared from the Mexican soil, while we walk through the palenques of the indigenous people, who produced it by hand and drank in their most special ceremonies. Well, not everyone drank it; only the most important people; the priests, the warriors and the nobles.
Just like the grapes in wine, there are also many types of agave. Each one gives mezcal a unique flavor and aroma. Produced all along Mexico, mostly in artisanal ways, it has strict production standards and denomination of origin.
We will use our senses to try mezcal from different regions of Mexico and different types of agave. We will walk you through the history of mezcal, learn about the elaboration process and its wide cultural background.
Get ready to try real mezcal and many other special products that surround the mezcal and agave culture. Most of which we brought from selected places around the country and you will not be able to find for sale.

Bernardo is very passionate about mezcal and was able to not only explain the process of distillation but also the difference between each and perhaps why when we tasted the different mezcal. His passion for the subject was a large part of the positive experience - we came to this experience to have a local experience that we couldn’t get elsewhere and he certainly brought that. I definitely learned a lot and was surprised by how much we tasted and that it was paired with delicious cacao and snacks. It was excellent value for the money. The location was magical, the full moon waxing in the backdrop to the experience. We tried around 7 different mezcal and agave and it was very casual and conversational, and Bernardo was happy to answer all questions. I highly recommend.
