What you'll do
Your tour begins at the Colorado State Capitol, the perfect place to start off a tour highlighting the best of Denver. You may get a chance to step inside to take in the awe-inspiring architectural features of this historic building and learn more about the founding of the Queen City of the Plains.
We’ll then head downtown to the historic Brown Palace Hotel, marveling at the grand atrium, where taking high tea is still in fashion, as you pass through. You’ll also get the scoop on Denver’s more salacious connections to illicit gambling, speakeasies, and the seedy underbelly that once defined the city’s image.
Next, we’ll see the more modern side of Denver, entering LoDo (Lower Downtown). Get your architecture fix as you pass through the popular 16th Street Mall, a picturesque tree-lined avenue that’s home to street food, art, and local musicians. Your guide will help you avoid the tourist traps and find the local hidden gems of Denver’s downtown food, shopping, and nightlife scene.
Continue on towards one of the most photogenic Denver landmarks: Larimer Square, where you’ll hear about the founding of the city. Cap off your downtown Denver experience at the hub of historic LoDo, Union Station, restored to its former glory and still the main train station in town. Once your tour has ended, you’ll be in the perfect spot to continue exploring the exciting downtown district.
Other things to note
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The summer months can be especially hot, so please bring sunscreen and a hat. In winter be sure to dress warm, as we’ll be outside for a majority of the tour. Walking may be difficult in snowy or rainy weather.
Gratuity for the guide not included.

I've had a lifelong passion for historic buildings, revitalized neighborhoods, and interesting architecture - and Denver's LoDo (Lower Downtown) area is one of my favorite places to explore! I love to show visitors the hidden gems throughout the area and tell them how the area has changed and grown over the years. There’s so much more to downtown Denver than meets the eye. I've taken the time to learn stories of both famous and lesser-known figures of Denver’s history (some are pretty controversial!), including a showman and a sharpshooter, a brave Arapaho leader, and an “Unsinkable” and indomitable activist. I’ve always thought it was important to learn the full history of a place and give that representation on my tours. I’m excited to show you the well-known and the surprising highlights of this awesome city!

Where you'll be
I've scouted Denver’s Lower Downtown (LoDo) and can’t wait to show you my favorite historical buildings, important landmarks, and beautiful architecture on this tour! In the heart of Denver, you’ll learn about its modern side and the side harkening back to the times of the “Wild West.” There are some incredible buildings that feel like they can transport you back in time! If possible, we'll even go inside the amazing State Capitol building!

If you are new to the Denver area or just visiting, this is a great way to get an all-encompassing feel for the city and all the cool little things to find in it. It really helped doing this on my first day visiting here as afterwards it was easy to find my way around and enjoy the city!

Visited Denver from the South and wanted to go on a tour of the city without having to pin places ourselves. We went around the whole city and wasn’t even tired! It was just that nice to sightsee and learn history of the city. So many opportunities for great photos and content and quality info! Mrs. Jennifer was a fun tourist and pieced the tour together amazingly. GO ON THIS TOUR!
