What you'll do

We will give you the up close ranch experience, starting with a one hour education on our animals, which includes safety instructions on how to handle horses safely. You will get an opportunity to feed them, groom them, go on your hike with them, and take your photograph with them. Depending on your experience and fitness level, the nature hike can accommodate all of the family members and will be adjusted to skill level desired. Dress appropriately, boots, jeans, tall socks, and a hat! It can get very hot in the summer so be prepared. The entire experience takes 3 hours. Longer if you desire a swim in the lake. We will provide you with needed equipment and water for hydration. You will be guided by the owners giving you the history of the area, the ranch, and an education on our herd. We will do everything we can to make it an experience you will never forget with pictures to share for a lifetime. We have over 40 years experience with horses and our other animals both professionally and as a beloved passionate hobby, and it is our greatest pleasure to share that with you!
Other things to note
It is extremely important to use proper shoes (no sandals/open toe shoes) for protection, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, and be aware there can be ticks on the trail depending on the time of year, so consider jeans instead of shorts.

We have been passionate outdoor trail lovers for over 40 years each. We both have been active trail hikers, trail runners, and trail horse & bike riders for personal enjoyment and at a competitive level, which is why we live in an area known as the "endurance capitol of the world!. Andy has been a competitive runner for 40+ yrs. Kassandra has been a certified instructor training horses and people how to ride in stressful and sensory rich environments as part of her work. This includes desensitizing horses to be able to handle all kinds of environments and obstacles. The horses and riders we have trained have been featured in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, participated in numerous rodeos and public events throughout California, and competed in long distance endurance events across the US.

Where you'll be

The experience takes place on our ranch starting at the barn. From there we will continue onto our trails with gorgeous scenery along the way. We will choose which trail to take you on that morning depending on the weather and the groups ability. We will make a large loop through the mountainous forest, see a nearby lake and vineyard, finishing up back at the barn. Your experience will include grooming the animals and feeding them treats!
