What you'll do
AIMED AT BEGINNERS TO INTERMEDIATES, LEARN ALL ABOUT HOW TO BE CONFIDENT WITH YOUR CAMERAS OPERATION, HOW TO CAPTURE MOOD AND FEEL, AND HOW TO ADD CREATIVE FLARE…
Jay Gilmour Media workshops are not just like any other workshop. Take in the sights, smells and tastes of Cumbria, learn photography from an award winning Cumbrian landscape photographer, breath the fresh Lake District air and sample some of the best home made cakes there is!
Learn all about powerful compositions, why it works and sometimes doesn’t.
How colour, shape and texture can be used to maximum effect.
Learn how shutter speeds and depth of field effect the shot.
Recognise how to put it all together and recognise the most important aspect of lighting.
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING:
Based around Derwentwater the 3 mile long lake is one of my favourite places to go. Filled with beautiful scenery like you would expect from the Lakes but also a variety of photographic hotspots making it the ideal place to learn.
Travelling along the water line to little known intimate locations to famous places like Ashness, creating images of big spectacular views to beautiful details in waterfalls, jetty's and a few of my favourite places in the Lakes.
Other things to note
There will be walking so please bring appropriate footwear and clothing, in Cumbria the weather can change instantly so please be prepared.
I will endeavour to fulfil any requests if given in reasonable time, location requests, time changes. I can be fairly flexible if needed.
