What you'll do

I am hosting a resin art class. Resin is a medium that is obtainable by anyone, however, it is not the easiest to deal with because there are certain conditions that are best for creating resin items. I want to host a class where guest can create their own items with an experienced artist, while being able to take their time, sip wine, and get to know other guests. I am a Houston native, so I’ll be excited to share tips of the city and even some hip hop culture. Much like painting and sip classes, I want it to be a relaxing yet fun experience that people won’t normally consider doing when they’re home.
For safety reasons, it’s best for guest 18+, and if guest want to drink, they’ll need to be 21+.
The beginning of the experience will always be about safety and care. Then the items that can be created with resin, examples I’ve done, and then we’ll dive in to the fun part of picking out colors/glitters/molds/etc. Depending on the number of guest, they’ll be able to create more than one mold and take them home as souvenirs.

*** Please note that resin takes 24-48 hours to fully cure. If you are local, you can pick up your item in 24-48+ hours, after 7 days, it will be donated. If you’re visiting, you can pick up your item prior to leaving or we can ship your item(s) to you. International shipping will be an additional fee***
Other things to note
We may work outside with the resin, and depending on the time of the year, this can be concerning. Water will be provided, but bring anything else that will make you comfortable.

I love resin and all things about it, and if resin wasn’t expensive I would do it for free 24/7. It’s like therapy for me and I want to share it with everyone I come in contact with. I think it’s great for creating a range of items, but it’s not the easiest to deal it and there can be a learning curve. In addition to my love for resin, I love Houston. I am a Houston native and very proud about it. Between being a native and once being a full time Uber driver, I know my way around the city and would love to share my knowledge on things to do and places to try out!

Where you'll be

We will normally be in a studio setting which gives enough space for table and chairs to be set up, but social distancing compliant. The studio will be a space where we can listen to music, and really get the creative juices flowing. The space location may change due to availability, but you will be notified ahead of time and the concept will remain the same.
