Amazing, intimate experience My family and I have visited O’ahu many times. We’ve done the luaus and tourist popular things. This time we came to visit and with COVID restrictions a lot of luaus or tours were sold out. I saw this experiences on Airbnb and I thought it would be something nice for our family to do. Something different, something worth what we pay and I felt like this experience was that and so much more. Keti and Ppa Lu’s home is beautiful and they and their sons so welcoming. We felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. Keti had a wonderful spread of food that I felt was so much better than anything you’d get in town. The fruit and veggies were fresh from their land. My kids can be picky at times but they sat right down and ate up. They are so quickly my husband and I were left while Auntie Keti took the little ones on a tour to see their animals, which they loved! Then we sat down to listen to them talk story and play music. I would do this again I. A heartbeat. We felt so honored to be welcomed in their home and for them to share their beautiful musical talent with us. My son is learning ukelele and he got to play a little bit with them, he was so proud to share in the experience. I know we will be back.

This is one of the most humbling experiences I have ever had while traveling. Keti and Papa Lu provided a very heartwarming experience with music and stories. They provided us with scrumptious food and showed us around their estate. If you just have time to do one experience in Oahu, this has to be it.

This unique experience is a must if you want to understand the local culture. Keti was very friendly and accommodating. I learned a lot about the history and culture. The music was beautiful. We also learned a few words. It’s rare to get an experience like this anywhere else.

You don’t want to miss out on this special event! Like being invited to friends house with food, music, and stories! (They even managed to serve us a Hawaiian style vegan 3 course meal! All locally produced). Keti and Lew are two beautiful souls and we felt welcomed immediately as we entered their home. Great way to learn about the Hawaiian history and culture, and this event does not come close to going to a museum. This is Hawaiian history and culture combined with personal stories and live music! Kudos to the Kamalani sons, excellent on the guitars(/ukulele). Will not spoil the details. We loved every minute of it!

Keti, Papa Lew, Makai’a, and Makoa were exquisite hosts, and truly brought a special spirit to their art of storytelling and music. Their honesty and warmth were incredibly inviting, and the meal that Keti created was outstanding. To be invited into someone’s home is a rare gift, and to be welcomed into their lives even more so. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone who can possibly have the opportunity. From my booking on AirBnB through to the end of the night, I was beyond impressed with absolutely everything. It was such an enjoyable night and their music will cure what ails ya, that’s for sure.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Wonderful people, wonderful location, just...wonderful. We did both the horse and music and both are great. If you are on the fence, just go with the spirit of Aloha and you will not be disappointed. If you've already done the luau and got that out of your system and now want an authentic Hawaiian experience, go to this one.
