What you'll do

We will use the different ways of transportation that Medellin offers to make all our trips between the different areas of the city and we will complement our tour with different walks that will lead us to better understand the transformation that the city has experienced in recent years.

Initially in our tour we will go at Downtown Medellin; we will recognize it's history, it's culture, we will explore the most emblematic buildings, parks and squares, to finally taste a delicious cup of the world best coffee in one of the Medellin's most traditional places.

We will start our trip in the Metro System; first we will take the train to the Comuna 13, then we will transfer to the cable car that will take us over the houses to reach up one of the highest mountains of Medellin, there we will understand how the situation is in the highest neighborhoods and we will enjoy one of the best views of the city.

Then we will go to the famous Electric Stairs, a unique project in the world also located in the Comuna 13, previously one of the most dangerous areas in the city, we will talk about the incredible history and the transformation process that it's inhabitants experienced, we will make an urban tour full of magic and color framed by the greatest amount of graffiti in all Medellin, we will return to the train station and there we will have concluded our tour.

We are a great team made up of two brothers, we are Sebastian and Julian, both born and raised in Medellin. I'm 28 years old, I'm an architect, urban planner and passionate about Medellin, with my brother we have been fortunate to experience first hand the fascinating transformation of our city and go through all it's neighborhoods, that until a few years ago it was impossible to access. It's incredible to see how Medellin went from being the most violent city worldwide in 1991, to being today one of the reference cities in terms of urban planning and social innovation worldwide.

Sebastián was a great guide. He can focus on topics of interest and he was very humble and authentic by what is going on with the city. We ask tons of questions and he was open to answering them all! He had tons of story telling and knows so much about the transportation system. We asked to be taken to a coffee shop with quality and good tasting coffee and he also took us there! Great exposure to the authentic Medellin through a locals perspective.

Sebastian is an amazing host. He took us to epic parts of Medellin, thoughtfully told the story of the country and the region. We took many forms of transport and saw the city for insane high views with a trolley! Highly recommend his tour.

I recommend this tour. You'll get to cover a nice swath of Medellin and experience a variety of scenes, while being guided by the awesome and historically informed human known as Sebastián. This was my first visit to Columbia and this tour was a good quick and dirty on how the last 60 years of Columbia influence today. Valuable experience.

This tour was incredible. I got to see a part of Medellín that I never expected to see and it was amazing. First the tour around downtown and using the cable card was really fun. Sebastian is really informative and always keeps the conversation lively. The highlight was certainly the tour around Comunna 13. All the colors, culture and diversity is truly something to behold. I highly recommend this trip. I went by myself and was the only one on this tour so solo travelers should definitely take this.

More information and passion in this tour than you could possibly imagine. I would do this tour again for certain. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring your phone well charged for lots of pictures, and be ready to listen to a very rich and impressive history that covers so many points. Consider this a must do tour in your library of to do's, when visiting Medellin. I can't say enough how much I respect the brothers that do this tour. They are truly passionate and will enlighten all who partake in the tour. Great snacks, coffee, and experience of the very impressive public transportation system in Medellin. The story goes far beyond subways, cable cars, and graffiti. Don't miss this one.
