What we’ll do

Discover the contributions made by the various communities that helped to develop Kuala Lumpur. Learn the HOW and WHY certain trades and communities are located at different parts of the city. See the contrast of the old and new.

What else you should know

Bring your own hat, poncho or umbrella. Best to wear good walking shoes. Approximately every 2 hours there will be a stop for food or drinks and toilet break.

We will walk around Kampung Baru Malay village, Chow Kit Wet Market, Masjid India area, Merdeka Square ( Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Royal Selangor Club, St. Mary's Church and the Old Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China), Masjid Jamek and Chinatown ( Sin Sze Ya temple, Sri Mahamariaman temple and Chan Association). View the diversity of the people, food and the various type of businesses that helped to develop the city of Kuala Lumpur.
