What you'll do

We are sad to say that we have had to postpone our hiking experience until Spring 2021 to align ourselves with the Public Health Officers directive to practice social distancing due to COVID 19 and respect the Canadian Government travel ban.

We reserve the right to cancel at any time due to suspected illness of either your Guide or a Guest. All Guests must wear masks while riding in the Host vehicle or Guide reserves right to not proceed with Tour at any time.

Please note the listed price is for 2. Contact me directly for pricing for odd numbered groups.

During this niche hiking experience, you will explore one of the best beaches on the West Coast of Vancouver Island along the 45 km Juan de Fuca Trail- you will see first hand why they call this area the "Wild" West Coast. This local favorite has a vibe of its' own. The beach is well known for it's crashing surf, photography opportunities, views of Washington State, surfing and camping.

At our destination, you will walk along the rocky beach and get to see cool tide pools and sea life, a rocky shoreline and a secret hidden waterfall. We will eat lunch at the beach and hopefully see some seals, eagles and otters. After lunch, we will be scrambling over large boulders while dodging the incoming tide to get to an amazing viewpoint of an untouched cove. (4km/2.5 miles )

I'm a financial analyst by day, who is passionate about outdoor adventures and photography on Vancouver Island. I was born and raised on Vancouver Island and I love exploring the beauty this Island has to offer (and showing it off whenever I can)!

Landscape photography is a passion of mine. I can provide any assistance required during this experience with camera settings, framing, setting up your scene etc. I can also provide guidance on photography opportunities on Southern Vancouver Island; the type of advice only a local can offer.

I look forward to showing guests the amazing pacific northwest scenery and guiding them to photographic and hiking opportunities in this area that they may otherwise miss if they did not have access to local knowledge.

If desired I can provide drone photography of your experience, please let me know.

Jennifer was great - she was logistically very organized and pickup/drop off and tour went off without a hitch. She even went so far as to re-organize a bit of the trip due to some time constraints on our end - very thoughtful! The tour itself is great - without her, we never would have really gotten a perspective on life outside of Victoria, and there's SO much beauty to see there! The waterfalls were spectacular, and the rock scrambling and tidepooling were so fun. Very much recommend.

Highly recommend this hiking experience with Jennifer! She is super friendly and knowledgeable about local hikes and popular spots (e.g. a secret WWII plane that one can hike to in Tofino) on Vancouver Island. She took us to a waterfall on the beach, a super cool sea cave with rock cairns, and a gorgeous secret waterfall off the beaten path, helping us with picture taking and camera lighting recommendations and overall making this a delightful adventure!

It was an awesome experience and we got a lot of beautiful fotos and memories. Jennifer is a very funny and entertaining person. She got us even gluten free canadian beer for surprise. We could choose a great lunch from Shirley delicious cafe which offered gluten free options too. The hike was not that hard and the view was very scenic. Thank you Jennifer!

Jennifer was a great guide and host. As a novice hiker (at best) she was patient and found alternate ways on the path to accommodate me. She was well prepared and fun to talk to while showing me some of the off the beaten path sites. I would definitely recommend this experience.

We were intrigued by the description on AirBnB, and the experience was so much better. The hiking, scenery, photography opportunities, coffee and lunch were all great! Spending the day with Jennifer was like being with a friend who knows the area as one who’s live here all her life. It was an AMAZING way to see the coast along the Juan de Fuca trail.

Jennifer is a very nice host. She is friendly & outgoing. I did feel like it is probably something we could’ve done on our own though & it wouldn’t have taken as long. We only got to 2 of the 3 locations mentioned in the description & we felt like the 1st one was kind of a throw away spot. The 2nd hike (& what ended up being our last due to time) was fantastic & we enjoyed the group dynamic. But overall, the few other AirBnB experiences I have been on have been much more in depth & a little more organized.
