What you'll do

Join me and explore one of the most historic parts of Winnipeg. The Exchange District is the heart of the city’s architectural past. We will learn about rebellion and railway tycoons, and imagine the hustle and bustle of optimistic citizens unaware of the coming war or technological innovations such as the Panama Canal that would change their city as they knew it!

In order to have the best experience in the city, we will mix present and past experiences while enjoying the modern microbrew and distilling scene. As well as tasting some of these venues’ best creations, we’ll learn the stories behind them.

The purpose of this tour is to drink in the history and savor savior the libations. You will leave with a better understanding of this area’s importance in Winnipeg’s history and a taste for its beer!

Tour includes:

• In-depth tour of the Exchange District
• Learn about the city’s diverse breweries
• Experience the cutthroat world of Winnipeg in the 1900s
• Learn the locations of local businesses
• Enjoy a sample of beer and spirits at four of Winnipeg’s most famous distilleries, breweries and bars
Other things to note
This tour will involve a quite a bit of alcohol. Do not feel obliged to drink it all as you know your limits best. Winnipeg is a small city with strict drinking and driving laws. Please use taxi, public transit or bring a designated driver to have a fun and safe time.

I moved to Winnipeg from Toronto because I love this city. The old buildings in the Exchange, local flavors from the people to food and the prairie spirit you find here.

The last 7 years I have worked with a prestigious tour company in the USA. Before that I was a blogger for multiple travel-based blogs in Toronto. My life has been devoted to showing people the world. Now it is time to show them my new home.

Since arriving in town, I have scoured ever bookstore, visited all the museums, taken the tours and explored the city. Nothing is more rewarding then falling in love with a place and showing others how amazing it is!
