What you'll do

We will begin our tour outside the “Cube” one of the most modern additions to this typically classical city. This area opens up to one of the best music venues on in the city and heart of the Winnipeg entertainment scene.

Leaving the neighborhood’s modern present, we warp into the past to the city’s cities industrialized past. Here railroad barons, real estate tycoons and competing newspaper empires compete for supremacy in the cutthroat world that was Winnipeg. We will begin with some of the best-preserved facades at Red River College.

From here we will see the gates to the city’s cities China Town in the 1980’s. This is but one of many symbols of the city’s multicultural heritage and current diverse population. Next we move onto Princess Street once the location of some of the city’s most affluent businesses including the largest car dealership in Western Canada housing an enormous inventory of 142 cars!

The tour then continues to Main Street where we admire the Neo-Classical architecture of the famous Bank of Montreal building with its surrounding structures giving Winnipeg its nick name “Chicago of the North.”

Lastly, we explore the heart of Winnipeg’s theatre district. Passing small playhouses, local breweries and distilleries, ending at arguably the city’s most beautiful abandoned building the Pantages Theatre.
Other things to note
Please bring good shows and water as we are walking on a verity of surfaces and we will be outside the whole tour . Also be cautious as Winnipeg is a beautiful city, but we have all the problems with theft and minor dangers as all cities do.

moved to Winnipeg from Toronto because I love this city. The old buildings in the Exchange, local flavors from the people to food and the prairie spirit you find here.

The last 7 years I have worked with a prestigious tour company in the USA. Before that I was a blogger for multiple travel-based blogs in Toronto. My life has been devoted to showing people the world. Now it is time to show them my new home.

Since arriving in town, I have scoured ever bookstore, visited all the museums, taken the tours and explored the city. Nothing is more rewarding then falling in love with a place and showing others how amazing it is!
