What you'll do

This is a spectacular way to experience the night sights of Surfers Paradise from a unique water-level perspective. Gold Coasts Main River is an excellent location for new paddlers to experience nighttime kayaking for the first time, or for experienced kayakers to enjoy a stunning paddle through Surfers scenic canals and waterways under the stars. No kayaking experience is needed to enjoy the experience, as we are patient and will be with you every step of the way. Our kayaks are extremely stable and easy to operate.
Our Night Kayak experience starts at sunset at Ewan Batt Park on Paradise Waters, part of the modern Macintosh Island precinct in the heart of Surfers Paradise canal system. After a short safety briefing and paddling technique session on dry land, we set off for an exploration of the lights and sights and waterfront homes and the nearby downtown towers illuminated.
After exploring some great view spots we continue our paddle back to our start point with the stars out and lighting the way as the amazing homes light the canals as we return and conclude the trips. What an incredible way to experience Surfers Paradise!
Other things to note
This is not a long paddle and is a fun experience we try to facilitate but it can require some fitness if conditions are not favorable due to weather and current changes.

Where you'll be

The canals and beaches of Surfers Paradise. We will start the experience at Ewan Batt Park at the waters edge, Surfers Paradise at sunset. We'll have an exploration of the canal area and get amazing views of the great homes and the Surfers skyline with their lights and sights to enjoy. Under dark we'll be paddling on the Nerang River, through the canals and then finish where we started, under the Gold Coast stars.
