What you'll do
Come join us for an enchanting night blending music and comic books. You won't want to miss the main act, Trumpet Wom', a triple threat who combines trumpet, keyboards, and vocals that sound like a mix of Nina Simone and David Bowie. The venue "Amalgam" is unique, a black woman owned comic book and coffee store. Grab some food and drink before the show. Then Trumpet Wom' and a surprise guest musician will perform and entertain you. Come see a side of Philly you won't hear about from a tour guide or book. Hi, I'm Trumpet Wom' (formerly known as Trumpet Grrrl). I self-recorded and produced my 4th studio album. My last album, "Just Listen", was recorded with Grammy-winning producer Scott Jacoby which was mastered at The Lodge by Emily Lazar. Music Historian has praised Trumpet Grrrl's unique combination of trumpet, singing, and keyboard: “Trumpet Grrrl’s low and sultry voice and her trumpet skills blow the listener’s mind”.
