What you'll do

In this four-hour, hands-on class we’ll bake “conchas”, the king of Mexican breads. Complete with a crunchy topping, this decadent sweet bun is absolutely delicious; if you’ve never had one, you’re in for a real treat. We’ll make both chocolate and vanilla versions of this classic pastry in my home-based, professional kitchen, which is where I do most of my baking, but you can easily replicate the recipe in your home with minimal equipment.
Other things to note
VEGAN and DAIRY-FREE options available, let me know when booking the experience.
Want to learn another Mexican bread, cake or sweet recipe? Let me know—chances are we can bake it together.

We had the best experience with Eliceo. His easy and friendly manner put us all immediately at ease. He was warm, kind and incredibly patient with all of his guests as he taught us. His home kitchen is very cool, and we had a great time chatting and laughing with our fellow guests as we baked together. Eliceo also thoughtfully ensured that every step in the baking can be replicated in a home kitchen, and has even created a vegan version of the recipe. The four hours flew by. Oh, and the conchas turned out DELICIOUS. Can’t recommend enough!

I had a wonderful experience with Eliceo. We exchanged stories of bakings and travels. He showed me different techniques that I do not know. He prepared the class so well that we got to appreciate the details of making Mexican bread. We also had a fun time talking about different cultures and travels, while sharing the newly baked bread and local coffee. We had a great time...!
