What you'll do

The primary aspect of this experience is to give you an informative & entertaining experience beyond typical sightseeing. We will pick you from Colombo, Negombo suburbs & will reach the Dambulla archaeological site inhabited from as early as the 3rd-7th century BC. Out 1st stop will be the Rock fortress, where you can enjoy breathtaking views while learning about this 100% man made masterpiece (according to Sri Lankan Chronicles) rich with water gardens on the top, colorful fresco of artists, gratify by visitors & its unique architecture. Here you will learn an interesting history of 477 AD, Kashyapa, the king’s son by a non-royal consort, seized the throne from King Dhatusena & how this masterpiece built though various challenges such as treats of rightful heirs until his perish on final battle. Secondly we will reach the value addition: Pelvehera village in order to have authentic lunch made by villagers & as a bonus you will have carbon neutral paddle boat ride on village lake to relax. Finally, we will be in Cave temple Dambulla, where you can see 153 Buddha statues, 3 statues of Sri Lankan kings & 1500 paintings of Buddha covering the ceiling. We will show & explain about the Buddhist cultural significance behind & you will learn the history dates back to the 1st century BC. Later we will drop you to Kandy or suburbs along with the memories grabbed.
