What you'll do

Situated on the border of Kent and East Sussex and lucky to have stunning views that look out on a part of the largest area of medieval landscape still existing in Europe, we will welcome you to our home and then introduce you to our alpacas who definitely weren't part of the medieval landscape in this country but who fit right in now! You would never know this view existed unless you visited our private home and small holding. Stroll into our paddock and we will introduce you these inquisitive and cute characters who are very friendly and enjoy meeting new people. They also love carrots which you can feed them as well as take lots of photos. We have ten alpacas including two new little Cria who were born in May and July.

After hanging out with our alpacas you will be served a delicious and traditional Afternoon Tea in our garden overlooking the paddock, the alpacas and the view. Our tea is all home-made and a lot is home grown, like the cucumbers in your sandwiches and the strawberries in your jam. Other traditional goodies include scones , Victoria sponge & more. Your scrumptious tea is served on vintage china with vases of homegrown flowers from our flower field adding the final touch to your quintessentially English Afternoon Tea experience.

When you have finished your scrumptious feast you are welcome to walk in our summer meadow and enjoy the wildflowers and view

My husband, Mark, and I live in a beautiful part of the Weald of Kent and have smallholding with 10 alpacas, bees, hens, vegetables and flowers and our 2 Wire Fox Terriers. We love animals and the countryside and have learnt a lot about alpacas in the two years since we bought them home and have learnt even more since the birth of our 2 Crias in May and July 2020! We love these inquisitive animals that are now part of our family. We enjoy learning about them and want to share what we have learnt and the alpacas charm and cuteness with others.

It was a wonderful experience. I thought the best part was the Alapacas until I sat down for the tea and it was wonderful! The homemade treats and jam was incredible and very warming. I also learnt so much about Alapacas and they were so lovely to be around. I loved every moment!

It was an unforgettable experience that we absolutely recommend. The food was prepared fresh from the ingredients grown right there on the farm, and it was just delicious. The farm is stunning and alpacas are well looked after, friendly and super cute. Carol and Mark, who are very welcoming and lovely, gave us a tour and shared lots of interesting facts about alpacas, and we learned a lot. Their farm is maintained in a very sustainable and circular way - everything they need is grown on site and nothing is wasted. An excellent example of sustainable living that we all could learn from. Carol also grows and sells flowers that are just stunning. This is a must-try experience - a wonderful afternoon.

A lovely 2 hours with Alpacas and afternoon tea in the field watching them. Carol laid on a nice afternoon tea and Mike provided an overview of the alpacas before meeting them. It was very relaxed and informal and both Mike and Carol were very chatty and genuine hosts.
