Abel, was a great host, he is very knowledgeable about the city and surrounding area of Madrid, the walking tour started at 10.30, it was an easy walk with a few slight hills but the city is on a hill so there is no choice, his first stop at the botin restaurant, the oldest one in the world, was interesting, he tried to get the group inside but they were filming, so we couldn't, Abel explained the history well, we moved on the the market were we stopped for some food and vermouth, all very nice and well received by the group.
The tour continued with explanations around the historical events that formed Madrid, the final stop was a little restaurant were we all tasted some of the local delicacies with some wine and drinks, others in the groups had completed an evening Tapas tour and they said the food here was far better that the evening before, Abel knows his stuff and he let us in on the qualities of the history and the exceptional tapas that he soursed for us.
I recommend Abel
