What you'll do

The first thing you need to know is: You don't need any drawing experience! I draw Rotterdam, Historic Delfshaven, is suitable for every drawing level. I will help you. I will give advice and show easy and somewhat more difficult options.

We walk approximately 2.5 kilometers in Historic Delfshaven, an old and stunningly beautiful part of Rotterdam. We pass several interesting places to draw your own personal large "Greetings from Historic Delfshaven postcard".

Discover the city in a different way. Not just wandering around, but stopping to draw what you see. A relaxed experience in an old historic part of town.

We start with a Polaroid of yours and place it in the middle of a sheet of A4 size paper. Around the Polaroid we draw typical Historic Delfshaven items such as: the Pilgrim Fathers Church, sailing heritage, a windmill, bicycles and decorative elements from this part of town and nature. We draw in a simple and fast way. I give advice for "Handlettering" (writing in a nice way).

Ultimately you have your own handmade "Greetings from Historic Delfshaven postcard". You can take a photo and post it on social media, you can sent it to friends or family or bring it back home as a reminder of your afternoon drawing in this old part of Rotterdam.
Other things to note
If it rains, I have to cancel unfortunately. We can then plan a new date.

Meet your host, Jeffrey

With great pleasure I have been living in Rotterdam for more than 20 years. I love Rotterdam! I want to show you this beautiful and fun city by drawing well-known (and less well-known) subjects from it. I studied graphic design in Rotterdam and drawing at the art academy in Antwerp. I am a city sketcher of Rotterdam (@stadstekenaar010). I have been drawing and designing all my life and have been illustrating for more than 10 years. I also have experience with organising events and giving tours. Finally, I love nature and architecture.
