I have been raising Nubian dairy goats and alpacas for 12 years. As a retired teacher and school principal, I am experienced in teaching new skills. I enjoy educating others in humane animal husbandry and opening our little farm to others.

Amazing experience for animal lovers. Tina and her husband have a unique property and a deep affection for their many animals. From our greeting by Lars and Rosie (the dogs) to the soap making class, my family was smiling from ear-to-ear. So glad we did this experience!

We wanted to interact with locals and the land of the Central Coast, and that's what we got. We appreciated how open Tina was with the animals and activities at Giving Tree Farm, and most importantly, the hands-on experiences. We also noted the humor and hospitality of her husband, Dave, and the undeniable friendliness of their three dogs. As usual, it's the people — more than the places — that we end up remembering most about our travels ... and in this case, their pets as well :)

This is our first offline Airbnb experience and it was perfect.
Tina was great at communication before and during the experience. They took Covid seriously and practiced enhanced hygiene and social distance standards.
We shared the experience with another lovely couple. It went great from the first moment when Tina and her super sweet dogs greeted us. We went on to feed goats, alpacas and pigs, learned about how they raised turkeys, chickens and guineafowls... Tina showed us how to make soap with goat milk and we tried our hands at making felt soap - something I never thought I’d do but it was super fun and therapeutic.
It was amazing to see how Tina and her husband David did everything themselves on the farm, from building the pastures, raising the animals, to making cheese and so much more. The farm is authentic, sustainable and great fun to visit.
Highly recommend!

We loved our experience with Tina. We missed a few turns and arrived a few minutes late and Tina and David were very gracious about it. All of the animals are clearly loved and well cared for, and it was so fun to feed the alpacas, goats, and piggies. It was fascinating to hear the story of how Tina, David, and the family arrived on the farm, and we loved hearing about how each of the animals has its own “job” on the farm. Tina also puts her skills as an educator to great use during the soap making/felting demonstration as it was fun, informative, and she was encouraging. Loved our time there.

We arrived a bit early and Tina was there waiting for us (we are a family of four with school-age children). After a warm greeting, and brief history we had a really fun time meeting the alpacas, goats, pigs, and other animals on the farm. We had lots of questions and it was clear that Tina loved the animals so much that she really enjoyed taking the time to answer them all. Not long into our visit, we all felt like family.
We loved learning about soap-making and while we already knew a bit about felt-making, we were excited to learn to make felt around soap - a fun project that would make a great gift.
Tina is the kind of person we feel like we would want to keep in touch with.
PS, for those concerned/interested/worried, we felt that the farm's Covid protocol was thoughtfully considered and adhered to.
