What you'll do
Celebrate the best locations on the lake - be surprised as we take unexpected roads to reveal the rural charm and many stories behind the popular lakefront facades.
Today’s tour is about visiting the must-see villages in the Tremezzina area, with their elegant lakefront villas such as Villa Carlotta, that line the main road. It is also about revealing them in all of their beauty, the lesser-known and more rural aspects included. Discover the unplanned olive groves, green pastures, hidden churches and old stone washhouses where women would meet and scrub the day’s laundry together. We will weave in and out of the famous ‘Greenway’ path and follow the tracks of Mussolini, recounting the stories and intrigues of his final days. Suggestive lake views follow us throughout the journey leaving you with a sense of what it is like to live on Lake Como. This tour is perfect for first time visitors and regulars to the lake.

I am a qualified mountain bike guide and writer. I have written books about my travels hiking and cycling around Italy. The things I have seen and the amazing experiences I have had travelling this way convinced me to give up my office job in public relations and follow my passion full-time. I have cycled nearly every region of Italy (with clients and alone), from lakes, to seas, to unbelievable mountain passes which has also confirmed for me that Italy is truly a remarkable country and her natural beauty and culture are what I want to share with visitors. There is no better way to do this than on the back of a bicycle.
I also have 9 years experience as a volunteer first responder for the Red Cross, trained in administering CPR and First Aid.
