Leo was the WBC Amateur Canadian lightweight champion 2014, Golden gloves lightweight champion 2013, and Italian interregional boxing champion in 2011.

Leo started boxing at a young age in Italy. He had an impressive amateur boxing career in Vancouver Canada and was training towards the Olympics. In 2017 he suffered a life changing spinal cord injury due to gun violence and became paralyzed.

Although this changed his life, his love for boxing continues. After 1 year of rehabilitation, Leo found myself back in the boxing gym adapting boxing workouts and with being in a wheelchair always finding new ways to adapt.

Now, he shares his passion of boxing through teaching kids, boxers, fitness and even adaptive individuals . We have brought the West Coast Wheelchair adaptive boxing program home workout ready for people around the world.

Leo is a strong, motivating coach - and especially attuned to technique. He worked around my shoulder stiffness with several accommodations - patiently & kindly. I love that we worked out with a timer and boxing ring "ding." I highly recommend Leo's session for anyone interested in boxing for improved strength, flexibility and coordination. Many thanks 😊 🙏
