What you'll do

This experience moves you into the Austin spirit so you see what makes our city unique. On our bikes, you will be immersed in the Austin culture, orienting you to our vibrant city. Visiting hidden gems we locals know and love, you'll feel like you're riding with your friend who is showing you their Austin.

This experience is customized for a family based on the age of the children. For adults, the experience is customized based on their interests. Generally, we'll ride on quiet neighborhood streets and bike paths unless we want the best view of the city as envisioned by a 1890's entrepreneur, in which case we'll ride Congress Avenue, the main street of town. At each stop, we talk about Austin and its history and evolution. You see beautiful views as the terrain changes.

Our priority is to provide you with top notch equipment, service, and hospitality. Children are welcome. Children under the age of seven may require a tag-a-long or a burley trailer to attach to an adult's bike. This special service generates an additional charge. We can message about this if this service is needed. .

A really-long-time Austinite, I know the joy and freedom of being on a bike in Austin. To share that experience, I founded Texas Bike Tours. My "job" and passion is creating culinary & cycling experiences for city, road, gravel, MTB cyclists. Reviews are on Trip Advisor and Google. Let's talk about how this AirBnB experience can be customized to be the Bike Austin experience you want.

My son came with me, and he is autistic. When I told Deaton, she went out of her way to make sure the experience was tailored to his needs. She showed great empathy and understanding for our situation and made sure everything was paced at the level we needed. Deaton is a very lovely person with a warm personality and uncommonly wise. I can’t wait to do it again!

We had a great time on this tour. Deaton adjusted the tour for our family and brought the trailer for my 15 months old son! Also, we had a wonderful conversation and plenty of local recommendations.

Deaton designed a custom, full-day bike tour for my wife and I (for my wife, Bo's, birthday). Deaton, threw herself into the design of the day and hand-picked Bekah to be our guide for the day. Both Deaton and Bekah did an awesome job and made Bo's day very special. I couldn't recommend Deaton, Bekah and Texas Bike Tours more.

The bike tour with Deaton was unique and geared toward our own interest. She had extensive understanding of Austin’s history and fun facts to share. She took into consideration our biking abilities and allowed for some free time to stretch are legs with the pedals. Highly recommend her bike tour!
