What you'll do

The perfect experience for everyone! Great for families, friends and ideal for company off-sites/team building. This breathtaking 2 mile walking tour of San Francisco's hidden stairways is the #1 rated Airbnb Experience in the Bay Area, loved by both locals and tourists alike.

See gorgeous mosaic tiled steps and hear the stories behind them, then take in stunning 360° views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park and downtown San Francisco. You'll also discover beautiful neighborhoods and gardens that many locals are not aware of and that tourists rarely see.
Oh, and you might even go home with a succulent!
I'll provide commentary, context and some history along the way.

Generally SF is dry May-October. There can be fog in the summertime, mostly in the morning. Temps rarely above 70F (21C) or below 50F (10C). Rain may cancel.

Guests should be reasonably fit. Though we don't cover many miles, some of the terrain is steep. It will be necessary to carry small children as strollers are not suitable. If you bring a guest that’s under 18, it’s your responsibility to make sure the activities they participate in are age-appropriate.

I'm a native Irishman but a 20 year resident of San Francisco who adores my adopted city and loves showing it off to locals and tourists alike.

A former marathon runner, I know the city's best views but now prefer a more moderate hike on gorgeous stairs! This walk is done at a leisurely pace & suitable for most people.

This was a fantastic tour. Greg was a great host and guide. We have been to SF many times and one of our group has lived there for 2 years, but this was a hidden gem we didn't know about. I am so happy we found this on airbnb and I have already shared the link with family and friends in the area.

Greg went above and beyond wirh his tour! He not only tells great stories and has fantastic insight, but he also has a great attitude and creates an environment that makes it easier to get to know and enjoy the company of the other people on the tour. He also takes lots of pictures and shares them with the crew at the end, which is very convenient for those of us that would reather just be chatting and enjoying the scenery. Overall, a great guy and a very delightful experience.

A great afternoon spent with Greg! We had a lovely group which made the experience even nicer. Great conversations, great views on a beautiful sunny day! This tour is a true local experience, and exactly what I look for when searching an airbnb experience. Thank you Greg!

Wonderful tour! Greg is an excellent guide who adds thoughtful personalized touches to the experience. He shared interesting historical background information about San Francisco that made this tour a perfect way to begin our first full vacation day in the Bay Area. We were lucky to have a fog-free day and the phenomenal vistas were unsurpassed. Everyone in our group (including a 17-year-old boy) thoroughly enjoyed it. You are missing out if you pass up this tour!
