What you'll do

Enjoy amazing views while hiking the hidden stairs of SF

This breathtaking 2 mile walking tour of San Francisco's hidden stairways is the #1 rated Airbnb Experience in the Bay Area, loved by both locals and tourists alike.
See gorgeous mosaic tiled steps and hear the stories behind them, then take in stunning 360° views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park and downtown San Francisco. You'll also discover beautiful neighborhoods and gardens that many locals are not aware of and that tourists rarely see.
Oh, and you might even go home with a succulent!
I'll provide commentary, context and some history along the way.

Generally SF is dry May-October. There can be fog in the summertime, mostly in the morning. Temps rarely above 70F (21C) or below 50F (10C). Rain may cancel.

Guests should be reasonably fit. Though we don't cover many miles, some of the terrain is steep. It will be necessary to carry small children as strollers are not suitable. If you bring a guest that’s under 18, it’s your responsibility to make sure the activities they participate in are age-appropriate.

I'm a native Irishman but a 20 year resident of San Francisco who adores my adopted city and loves showing it off to locals and tourists alike.

A former marathon runner, I know the city's best views but now prefer a more moderate hike on gorgeous stairs! This walk is done at a leisurely pace & suitable for most people.

What an experience! My girlfriend and I took this tour on a beautiful day in San Francisco. Greg was FANTASTIC- hospitable, knowledgeable, thoughtful & hilarious. This is something you don't want to miss out on. The steps are beautiful and Greg's stories with photos make the trip wholesome. When we come back we will be sure to bring whoever joins us on the trip to San Fran. Thank you, Greg!!

Booking this experience was a last minute treat to myself and I am so glad I did it! Greg was very knowledgeable about the history of the stairs and of San Francisco in a larger sense. I especially liked learning a bit more about the geology of Turtle Hill and the background of the artists who made the tiles. I highly recommend this experience for locals who have never been to the Hidden Stairs--you will be pleasantly awed by the history, views, and insight Greg shares.
