What you'll do
A walk around Fowey to explore the history, literary connections and hidden gems of this lovely Cornish town. All on made-up surfaces, so only general sturdy footwear and clothing required. Some moderate uphill sections involved, at a leisurely pace!
We will cover the maritime and railway history; pilgrims and churches, history, defence and growth of the settlement; former dwellings and settings inspiring writers with local connections. Most of the time is spent with views of the busy estuary.
Offered as an evening tour, to take advantage of the beauty of the town and countryside as darkness falls. Work up an appetite for dinner with sunset, moonrise, stargazing and listening to owls - to name just a few of the dusk delights!
Other things to note
This walk is within the town on made-up surfaces and includes moderate hills (both up and down) but kept to a minimum. Fowey has tiny streets, so I will advise on these and keep you safe near cars.

Lucy was very personable and communicative right from the word go. First time visiting Fowey and she really made it magical from the start. We felt immersed in the history and she was a fountain of knowledge. Would definitely book a different tour again when we are visiting this part of the world in the future. Valuable asset to her local community. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking a personal insight into Fowey.

My partner and I went on the Dusk Walking Tour of Fowey, and it was only us two. This made it feel a very personal experience. Lucy was incredibly knowledgable. Fowey is an amazing place and Lucy was able to show us all of the incredible sights and give us a historical insight.
