What you'll do

We'll spend a few hours snowshoeing through old-growth forests, frozen lakes and amazing viewpoints in this beginners to intermediate hike. Your tour is a picture-perfect way to experience Canada’s outdoors, while learning the basics of landscape photography. All levels of hikers and types of cameras are welcome. You'll receive complimentary photos after the tour.

We'll leave Vancouver for Mt. Seymour where the trail starts. The 6 hour tour includes return transportation to the mountain resort, a 3 hour, 6km return, minimal elevation hike reaching 1,054 meters (3,460 feet). You take a break at the top for a spectacular view while enjoying snacks/lunch and an opportunity to work on your photography.

As an outdoors guide with 20+ years of experience leading hikes, I will show you how to snowshoe safely, following your own pace if needed. As a photographer I'll not only take beautiful photos of your memories, but also teach you landscape photography regardless of whether you carry a smartphone or DSLR. Details on what to wear and bring along for the tour will be provided.
Other things to note
Bring your own camera, water, snacks, and lunch and good walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Option to grab lunch at the mountain resort cafe.

This was THE BEST hike experience I’ve ever done. Nafees is an expert and he really cares for your well being along the way. Constantly check ups to ensure everyone is doing well and gave us some amazing tips for photography. Nafees really went above and beyond for our hike! I would 100% recommend. I could have never done this on my own. Thanks Nafees!

Thank you so much for a fantastic once in a life time experience! We loved the hike and the views from Stawamus Chief. We would not have been able to do this alone or without all of the tips and guidance you provided along the way. I highly recommend Nafees for tours, very knowledgeable, phenomenal photographer and had so much insight about the world. Thank you very much, we can’t wait to return to Vancouver for more adventures!

This is my second time doing a guided hike tour with Nafees and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to spend the whole day with. This was the highlight of my stay in Vancouver. Once again he was very patient, kind, and a wonderful person overall with many interesting stories to share. He is so passionate about nature and photography; I’ve learned so many techniques about macrophotography in such a short period of time that I will take with me forever. It was only Nafees and I on this particular trip and it was like catching up with an old friend, I felt very comfortable. I will always do a guided hike with Nafees when I am in Vancouver!
