What you'll do

Your experience will start with an experience! You will board either the fast ferry from pier 50 to our meeting place in Bremerton for a 30 minute ride or the Washington State Ferries which operates the largest ferry fleet in the United States carrying over 23 million passengers.

I meet you near the Washington State ferry dock in Bremerton, which you can board in downtown Seattle.

A typical day MAY be like this;

I will drive you to Green Mountain for a hike to Tin Mine Falls. After viewing the falls, we will continue up the mountain to Beaver Pond Trail through the thick rainforest, to meet the Vista Peak trail to the summit of Green Mountain. There, weather permitting, we can see all the way to downtown Seattle and most of the Cascade mountain range, while enjoying our snack or lunch. We will take in the views of the Olympic mountain range on the way back to the car. You must be able to hike at least 5 miles with about a 1,000-foot elevation gain, so you need to be in fairly good shape to hike these trails—this is considered a "moderate" hike.

After the hike, we can stop for Olympic ice cream and/or coffee before I take you back to the Bremerton ferry dock for your ride back to downtown Seattle.

{I can customize YOUR hike to fit YOUR needs, abilities and desires but you must be in good health).

Let me know what YOU would like to see, lake, river, summit, falls, ETC.

I love the outdoors, and have spent the last 30 years living in the Pacific Northwest, exploring the mountains in Oregon and Washington. I have been organizing 4 different hiking groups since 2015, all over Western Washington.

NOTE: IF YOU DON'T SEE A DATE THAT FITS YOUR SCHEDULE, MESSAGE ME THE DATES YOU WILL BE IN TOWN AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO FIT YOU IN! (Keep in mind I will be out of town for ALL of March and half of April).

Also in some instances I can arrange a trip to a "natural hot spring", 4 mile RT with 1000 ft gain, minimum 2 persons with a max of 5. Special circumstances required, message me for more info.

He shared his passion for hiking and exploration in a fun and engaging way, all while giving us lots of local knowledge and insider tips. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back some day for more fun conversation and beautiful hikes!

Dave's experience was great from start to finish. I won't go into details but his actions showed that he genuinely cares about the people on his experience. The hike itself was magical. Dave tailored the hike he chose to the people going, choosing one that was a good mix of light challenge that still had great rewards of amazing views and beautiful atmosphere. Dave also came amazingly well prepared. I tried to make sure I had everything I needed before meeting up with Dave but I had forgotten to bring a poncho/raincoat because the forecast didn't call for rain, but Dave whipped out emergency ponchos from his pack when a quick squall brought some rain/slush/hail for a bit. If I'm ever in the Pacific Northwest again I wouldn't hesitate to book another experience with Dave again.

Our day hike with Dave was wonderful. As first timers in Seattle, he gave us perfect instructions for getting on the ferry and meeting him at our meeting location. Dave asked us our preferences ahead of time for our hike and had an idea of where he wanted to take us. Unfortunately it ended up being quite rainy so he had to alter our experience a bit, but he still managed to take us to three hiking spots with amazing waterfalls. He made this experience feel personalized and added in some extra touches like taking us to try peanut soup and locally grown peanuts. For the price of this experience, we got everything out of it we wanted and more. I would highly recommend meeting up with Dave if you are in the area.
