What you'll do
PLEASE READ - I'm a new company, rent gear from Everyday CA & coordinate our tours. Almost every weekend &/or holiday our tours are completely booked, even if the Experience states there's room. If you're interested & booking a day or few days before the date, holiday or weekend please message me first.
Our GUIDES will take you on an unforgettable tour of La Jolla Ecological Reserve, an MPA (Marine Protected Area) — home to a thriving marine ecosystem that boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in all of California as an ASBS (Area of Special Biological Significance). Explore 3 distinct microhabitats in what the Kumeyaay Native Americans named Woholle or “the land of holes”. See the Rose Canyon Fault Line & experience the famous La Jolla’s Seven Sea Caves. Throughout the summer months you’ll see the biggest Leopard Shark Aggregation in the world. In the winter, witness Gray Whales on their annual migration from Alaska to Baja California.
During spring/ summer the sunset tours are unavailable due to daylight savings.
Boats are tandem (2 people per boat) kayaks. We only go into ONE cave, cave entry is dependent upon weather & water conditions entirely. Be ready for a fun filled & wet adventure either way. Tours are suitable for almost everyone 5+.
Other things to note
Kayaks are tandem (2 people per boat) kayaks. We only enter 1 cave & entering is weather dependent. Prepare to get wet & have fun. Check in 30 mins early. 10% City Tax collected at arrival. We donate to 1% For Planet & Greenwave on all bookings.

I am a San Diego native, yogi & marine science nerd. I have led countless kayak, snorkel & diving adventures all around San Diego. If I'm not in the ocean surfing, diving or snorkeling I'm near it weather it be exploring hidden sea caves at negative low tides, seeking tide pools, lobster hoop netting or educating myself all about it. I love sharing unique experiences with those who have similar passions. Not many people know of the amazing marine life San Diego offers, that's why I'm here!

This was such a fun activity to do in san diego and I would recommend it to anyone. everyone at Everyday California was extremely friendly and helpful. Danielle was a fantastic tour guide and was super knowledgeable and passionate about her job. My boyfriend and I have plans to come back to san diego and do the tour again.

Danielle and the rest of the staff at Everyday California are very friendly and helpful. I booked more than one tour with Danielle and she reached out to make sure I knew they were almost identical tours, just in case I wanted to change my mind. I appreciated her attention to detail. Even when I arrived she recalled exactly which client I was. She’s very friendly, knowledgeable and great at what she does!

This Kayak Experience was amazing, but just a little pricey! Be sure to pack flip flops and try to get your own wetsuit or swimsuit on if possible so that you don't have to rent things other than the kayaks and safety gear (included with the ticket).
