Highly recommend!
The hike and walk through the forest and up Mt Kizan was magical as Nami took us up a centuries-old path, all the while pointing out edible native plants and sharing about the spiritual significance of this particular walk.
The view at the top was breath-taking and the picnic lunch prepared by Nami was refreshing and delicious. We all had a laugh when she pulls out a whole pineapple from her bag - which she cut for our dessert. She even thoughtfully included as much local and regional produce in our picnic meal at the top of the mountain. The young people aged 17 and 19 in my group thoroughly enjoyed every bite and polished off the generous portion of udon topped with egg, tuna, assorted greens, carrots and the sweetest juiciest tomatoes!
After the trek down, we headed to a riverside for a spot of coffee and local snacks before heading to a local onsen. A perfect ending to absolutely enjoyable day out with Nami!
