I was raised on a horse farm. I have trained horses, shown horses and loved horses with a passion that is hardly comparable to anything else in my life. Come see why.

Wonderful and fun! This activity is the perfect balance for adventurous risk-takers and those who need some help coming out of their shell! Advice for riders: Wear long sleeves and pants (and a helmet!) and invest in some sun screen and bug spray before the ride! We got hit with some branches, but it was well worth the fun and true wonder of the lovely woods! I also loved the excitable dogs that traveled with us during the ride! This is a great place for dog lovers, cat lovers, and horse lovers alike! 11/10 recommend!!!

I expected "A Zen- like horse experience to remember" to be basically like any one of a number of trail rides I've been on, but the entire experience was much more satisfying. The horses were especially well behaved, the countryside was beautiful, and rather than being just a trail ride, it was a personalized experience with a fascinating host who views riding as a healing complementary medicine, a philosophy with which I wholeheartedly agree. Not only did I have a wonderful ride, but I also experienced a genuine sense of spiritual connection with both the horse I was astride and the natural beauty of our surroundings. I had a lovely ride and am hoping to return soon, & perhaps even to take one of Dr. T's classes- she's extremely knowledgeable and her classes look fascinating. It was a very special experience. Highly recommended!

We had such a wonderful experience at Kamp Kessa! Dr. T was lovely and we loved every moment of our time. We can’t wait for our next visit out there to see the horses.

Definitely a great trail ride with knowledgeable guides. By great trail ride I mean we rode into the woods, trotted up hills and these horses are responsive to you, your body language and how well you’re able to communicate with them. My daughter and I both loved it!

Great Horses! Not butt-following horses! Lol!! When I first contacted Thecla I looking for a horse riding experience that would feel very natural. So many times in the past when we have rode horses they seem to just follow each other like you are not even in control at all- butt-following horse, the kind you can’t make them go or do anything you want them to do. Well these horses were NOT like that at all. You can tell these horses are use to being rode and they were gentle but they are easy directed to side trails or around another horse. You are in control and I liked that. We went on a trail that took us through the woods, up hills and down to a creek. When we came to a clearing those who wanting to run their horses were given some instructions and then allowed to run with Thecla! Those who did not want to run could take another path with the other instructors. She had several other experienced instructors who rode with us, so I always felt safe. Thecla did an awesome job pairing each of us with a horses that would fit us best. The other instructors were all so kind and friendly. By the time it was over I felt like I had made new friendships. It was a very wonderful experience and we would do it again!
