What you'll do
Welcome to zen eating session. I truly believe eating mindfully promotes your happiness by clicks your mind to appreciate everything that surrounds you. You can be happy with that appreciation right then. I will take you on a 1-hour journey of eating meditation that brings you peaceful and joyful energy. My session with you is structured in three parts. First, we will meet online and chat via Zoom. Then this experience begins with getting in touch with the philosophy of zen knowing how to eat mindfully to make the later part more comfortable for you. I will guide you to induce relaxation through simple exercise and breathing techniques. Next, we start eating in a calm and relaxed state with my guide for 20-25min. Eating is one of the practices in Buddism. I extract the essence of Buddhist teachings. You may feel the connection with people, food and nature. We’ll explore the peace world while eating with full of joy. Eating together in calm will leave you feeling more grounded. Finally, we take a moment to share what we feel together. Sharing your mind, thought and feeling is helpful for you to clear your mind and have a positive feeling. *You may join with your own meal or snacks (anything to eat is fine but you may feel more comfortable if you bring something healthy). I hope Japanese spirituality gives you ideas for you to enjoy living with wisdom in your daily life!

I have been practicing zen Buddhism for 7 years. My spiritual journey has been going on from when I studied religion and culture at university. I would love to share the calm and happy moment by giving you my activity "zen eating". I integrate zen mentality and philosophy into eating. I was born in Northern Japan and raised in Tokyo. I am passionate about knowing Japanese traditional culture as seeking tradition is entertaining for me. I love sharing wisdom that I learned from traditions with my guests. I have practiced Indian meditation too while I was living in India for 1.5 years. As a happy person, I will share the way of eating mindfully to gift yourself joy and calmness in the Japanese way with you.
