Let's have fun & travel to Slovakia!

During this online baking class, I'll teach you step-by-step how to make the most delicious traditional buns in Slovak called Koláče and a sweet braided bread called Babka from scratch
I want this class to be as interactive as possible with YOU being able to bake, learn, and make the most of it. It is a relaxed, fun but educational class packed with plenty of tips on how to work properly with yeast-based doughs
WHAT WE'LL DO:
--> We'll start by explaining a bit about the ingredients with a focus on yeasts as there are certain rules to be followed anytime you're using them in baking
--> We'll move on with preparing the dough, give it some time to rest and in the meantime, we'll work on fillings
--> Lastly, we'll proceed with filling, shaping, baking, and of course, tasting :)
PLUS: After the class, I'll send you three more traditional recipes that you can make with the very same dough. Yum :)
This experience is GREAT FOR GROUPS and TEAM-BUILDINGS as well. Reconnect with your team, have fun and enjoy delicious pastries afterward - by today I had a chance to teach teams from companies like Grammarly, Google, Airbnb & many more

How to participate

What to bring
- Laptop/ PC/ iPad to join the class online
- Equipment: Oven, Kitchen Scale or Measuring Cup, Baking Pan, Rolling Pin or Wine Bottle, Mixing Bowl, Knife, Plastic Wrap or Clean Towel
- Ingredients: Flour, Sugar, Milk, Yeasts (Fresh or Dry), Eggs, Butter, Lemon, Salt, and some ingredients for the filling (all ingredients and amounts will be specified upon booking)

We had this as a team bonding activity at Work and it was amazing. We fully enjoyed the experience of learning, baking and social bonding aspect with the team and with Lenka as well. I highly recommend.
Lenka was a thoughtful
, passionate and fun host. She made sure everyone was following through the process end to end, coaching each one’s progress and making the time fun and engaging.
One thing I would note , while this could be largely depending on the size of group and level of experience
is, 1.5 hours felt a little tight to see the full results and taste both babka and kolaches (soon we started sharing photos of babka after the experience and it was amazing tho). Again, this would depend on the group but we felt we’d liked a bit more time to chat with Lenka (cuz she is amazing) and eat the bread together!
