What you'll do

To your masks! ready! hike!

Let's go to meet underground quarries with a treasure hunt based on a breathtaking plot.

PLOT
"You have accepted the challenge of helping the rescue team find Mister Carrier, of whom we have not had any news since yesterday. To do this, join Mickael (an amateur speleologist and friend of Mister Carrier) in the parking lot of Desfonceau wood located Avenue Rauzé Sybil. It can be of great use to you. "

From this intrigue you will reach the various entrances to the quarries of the Citon-Cénac complex for which we have listed 100 kilometers of galleries!
According to the number of children, we will make groups so that they can challenge themselves on this treasure hunt full of bouncing.

This hilly course follows forest paths, vineyards and runs along the Roger Lapébie cycle path where I will tell you the history of this valley and the Entre Deux Mers plateau. I will take this opportunity to tell you about the careers, their stories, traces of the past that I could find inside and other anecdotes.

The more adventurous can do ten meters indoors and this will be projected for a moment in the time of the quarrymen.

We will end the hike in the Desfonceau wood parking lot.
Other things to note
The hike is 6 kilometers on hilly terrain and is accessible to children from 6 years old. I myself am a nature instructor at the Cénac school.

Mickaël is an adventurer from the cold countries of northern Europe. He traveled hundreds of kilometers across Scandinavia and the Kamchatka Peninsula.

He is also passionate about exploring the underground quarries of Gironde. It is with enthusiasm that he will tell you about his expeditions to the center of the earth. He will make you discover his secrets and new routes found over the years to cross the Entre-deux-mers.

We will walk through the vineyards and forests of Cénac through quarry stone extraction wells. Then, we will walk along the Roger Lapébie cycle path in the forest and observe the entrances to the number one quarry at Citon-Cénac. The last part will take us back up to the plateau above career number two to get an overview of the extent of the network.
