Antwerp is a magnificent city. It seems more like a fairy-tale than real life!
Every single building, yard, fountain, or church amazes travelers with its magnificent decorations and mysterious stories! However, despite all this luxury, this city stays extremely cozy and loved by locals.
There is are big skate park or graffiti hiding just behind the majestic church and street musicians playing in the crowded alleys. Let’s find out all the secrets of Antwerp, that it carefully hides from inexperienced travelers!

Walking around this fabulous city, we will happen to see St. Charles Borromeo Church, old monasteries, cozy Béguinage, the oldest wooden house, and find out more about the Black Sisters, almshouses, medieval charity system, and attitude towards religion. Let’s have a closer look at the Cathedral with paintings by Rubens and discuss his life and the significant role he played in Flemish art!
We will get lost in the secret passage of the 16th century, visit the former kitchen of the royal palace, try unusual chocolate, delicious Belgian food, and local Trappist beer in the oldest bar of this city!

Besides, we will see the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, the University of Antwerps’ ancient Campus (closed on Sundays), Steen Castle, the Rubens House, and the oldest industrial printing company in the world. And of course, we will not miss visiting the cozy green yards.

Hi, my name is Anastasia and I am absolutely in love with the Netherlands. I am happy to share my knowledge about this country, culture, traditions, cuisine, technologies, contemporary art and design.

Hello, I’m Nastya! When I moved to Belgium several years ago I got incredibly fascinated with its magestic architecture, intricate culture and rich folkloric heritage. Since then I knew I wanted to explore and share my findings with others.

Looking forwards to meeting you!
