What you'll do

You will experience the life of a potter in my studio space. I'll demonstrate how to throw (that's what it's called when an artist uses the pottery wheel to create something) on the wheel and then give you guided instruction on how to do it yourself. I have one pottery wheel in my studio and have hosted up to 3 guests, taking turns. It's great fun and a lot of laughs, but also very satisfying to make something with your hands in this way...an unforgettable experience if you have never tried it!

Learn more about Yvonne And Chris

Yvonne And Chris

I am a professional artist and educator. I teach high school ceramics (full time) as well as college ceramics courses (adjunct). I took my first ceramics class in the very high school classroom that I have taught for 17 years. At the time I had no idea that ceramics would become my lifelong career... I did know that I loved my teacher Ms. Kalson, the feeling of that room and getting my hands dirty. After high school I continued my education in Art at San Francisco State completing my BA in Art in 2002. I began teaching high school Ceramics in 2003 and obtained my MFA in 2018 from Azusa Pacific University. I have passionately pursued a career in the Arts and I have found great joy teaching others about pottery and art.
