What you'll do

In groups of 10, discover the truth about chocolate. We take you on a knowledge-journey from cacao plantations and the fermentation process, winnowing, husking, to all that is required for the bean in front of you to be processed into chocolate. Choose your own flavour, shape, and cacao content and learn the art of creating real artisan chocolate.

Mara's commitment to safety

This host committed to Airbnb’s COVID-19-related safety and cleaning guidelines—including adhering to social distancing guidelines, practicing good hygiene, and ensuring that all participants wear a mask.

Loved it. Mara was great. She wove at once a narrative of a history of chocolate tempered with contemporary concerns and finally a hands-on experience of crafting chocolate for your own edification and delight! Thank you!

Loved meeting up with Mara and finding out more about making chocolate. Understanding what goes into small batch chocolate vs mass produced chocolate was an eye-opener. Plus tasting real natural chocolate was amazing. Makes me want to explore some South American chocolate farms. Mara was an excellent host. Very inspirational.
