What you'll do

Anyone who comes to Warsaw initially has little idea of what really could make this city unique. Therefore, we start at the 237 meter high Palace of Culture and Science. This building is considered a landmark of Warsaw, which not all residents of the city want to accept. From here you can also see the emerging skyline with the numerous skyscrapers.
Afterwards,we continue along Swietokrzyska Street, pass the Prudential building and the monument for the Warsaw insurgents to the Royal Route. We get on the time machine and go to Warsaw before World War II. Krakowskie Przedmiescie Street is the most famous promenade in Poland and the only street in Warsaw that has largely survived the World War visually.
The most expensive hotels, the Presidential Palace and the University of Warsaw are located on the promenade, which represents the northern section of the Royal Route. Frédéric Chopin grew up here.
The Royal Route ends where the Warsaw Old Town begins. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980 and is still considered the best reconstruction of an old town.
Here you can admire the most beautiful square in Warsaw - the Castle Square. Finally, it goes through the romantic alleys to the old town Market Square.

I am the owner of Walking Poland (Group), founded in Warsaw in 2014. I previously had a city guide license for Warsaw and since then have been showing people from all over the world life in the city. Since I grew up in Germany and was born in Poland, I like to say about myself that my Polish heart pumps the blood into the German brain. I would now like to use the experience I have gained and pass it on to the guests.
The tours follow the philosophy of Guiding 2.0, which means that the focus is not so much on the buildings and their dates and builders. The aim is rather to understand the lifestyle and the character of the city and its inhabitants. Rather, the buildings serve as a backdrop and the history is presented and explained in a tourist-friendly manner.

Where you'll be

We start at the Warsaw landmark - the 237 meter high Palace of Culture and Science - and head towards the Warsaw Royal Route. Of course, we will visit the most beautiful and famous sights, such as the Presidential Palace or the entire Old Town. But you will also learn a lot about everyday life in Warsaw. And all this during a leisurely walk with chatting opportunities.

Danke!!
