Hello!! I'm Inês from the south of Portugal but I've been living in Porto for 4 years. I am passionate about showing people the best we have in our country. I love to cook, especially sweets, cakes. As a foodie, who traveled the world in search of the best dishes and desserts, I can assure you that Portugal is the perfect country to taste the best desserts in the world.
I am not a professional pastry chef, but my experience of making sweets for more than 10 years makes me a very sweet person with the best hands for sweets. Every time we had a family event I was in charge of making all the food and, of course, desserts and people loved it. I started selling my cakes and sweets to small stores in my city. Pastel de Nata, the most famous and delicious candy in Portugal, became a passion for me when I first cooked it

Whoever has visited Portugal may have encountered the delicious pasteis de nata and might think they are impossible to make. However, thanks to Inês and her lovely guidance, what might have seemed so hard resulted in an easy to make recipe with a wonderful result. Very well recommended for those who, like me, long for a taste of this wonderful Portuguese pastry.

Had so much fun on this class with Ines! I was so impressed at how much we managed to do from scratch in just an hour and a half. It was my first time doing puff pastry and in the process of making it, my dough became a big greasy mess, despite following the instructions but Ines reassured me this is normal esp for beginners and seemed confident it would still work out. And she was right! Much to my surprise, they worked out fine and all came out intact. I slightly overcooked the first batch but had lots of custard leftover do after the class, we made a second batch and they came out even better. Was lovely authentic recipe and a really fun class.

Instructor was very patient and supportive throughout the class. Recipe is not the easiest but Ines breaks it down into simple steps so that anyone can follow along. Small class size made it very intimate and personalized.
