What you'll do
Been making all kinds of bread this stay-at-home period? It's time to switch things up and learn how to make the Asian signature bun (practically with the same ingredients you might already have). During this class, I will share my 10-years of experience living in Southeast Asia and being a food explorer and tourist guide, hosting guests from all over the world. I will transfer my culinary journey here in Asia and teach you the best tips for cooking authentic Asian food at home. Once you confirm the booking, l will send you a list of ingredients to prepare in advance. Follow the instructions and prepare your dough before the class if you can, as it takes an hour to rise. You can also pre-portion the ingredients for fillings. We will begin the class by checking on the dough. If you didn't get to make it beforehand, no worries—I will quickly show you my way of making the dough, then proceed to shape the buns, and eventually steaming them. I will teach you my special recipe of fillings (vegetarian and non-vegetarian options) while our buns are in the steamer. If you don't have a steamer at home, simply show me what you have in the kitchen and we can make it work! We will conclude the class by enjoying our freshly made buns with delicious fillings together. I'm certain that you will love this Asian delicacy as much as I do. I can't wait to meet you all!
