What you'll do

We’ll meet virtually in my kitchen and yours to make Mexican salsas together. You’ll learn to cook salsa in three traditional ways: roasted, raw, and fried. Each preparation is different in personality, flavor, and spice level, but they’re all delicious and special. Throughout the experience, you’ll receive hands-on instruction while you taste-test all the salsa you can handle. You’ll be surprised by how easy (and fun!) it is to cook salsa at home. When we’re done, you’ll have recipes to revisit whenever you’re craving some salsa.

Ideal for Corporate team-building, Anniversaries, Special Celebrations and private groups. Let us know day & time that works best for you, we can arrange it!

Greetings from Ciudad de México! I'm a Mexican cook with a lifetime passion for food, especially anything hot and spicy. I studied at the National School of Mexican Gastronomy and have had the opportunity to live throughout Mexico, from north to south and coast to coast. As someone who believes that food brings people together and transcends language, I love preparing and sharing meals with people from all over.

Over the past 2 years, I've welcomed hundreds of guests to my kitchen in Mexico City. I host several in-person Cooking Experiences on Airbnb—learn more about them and see reviews here: www.airbnb.com/users/show/147613055

My salsa experience was included in BuzzFeed's "20 of the Best Airbnb Experiences in Latin America." I've also been featured in the L.A. Times and Hoy Los Ángeles.

Had an amazing experience in this class. Not only did I learn about some interesting Mexican culture But also learned a lot of cooking techniques. Recipes came out amazing and would definitely book something else with her.

This class was so much fun! My undergraduate students loved it, and it would be perfect for any group size and any age! Natalia was so much fun and shared cultural stories to learn more about salsa. She was very flexible if people didn't have every ingredient and provided suggestions for substitutions. The music while cooking was great, and all of the salsas were delicious! I highly recommend this class!

This was a fantastic class with authentic salsas. Natalia gave great ideas for substitutions and ways to use the salsas. Recommending to friends!

Natalia gave us a wonderful class in making salsas. We ended up making three and each was very different (and delicious)! Natalia added a lot of extra trips around choosing ingredients (so much to learn about peppers!), knife skills (I can dice like a champ now), nutrition (is it better to eat cooked or raw tomatoes?), and more. And the music couldn't be beat--Our salsa ended up tasting like a real party. Jaz (who spend a lot of time behind the camera) was also delightful and enthusiastic. Now, if the pandemic ever subsides, I have a goal of going to Mexico on vacation. In the meantime, I would love to take another class from this wonderful chef.
