Very few people understand why they like what they like. We think most of us tend to eat and drink out of necessity, doing so in a hurry. We would like to fix that.

We will discuss what's considered a great cup of coffee and why. We will do this by covering some basic concepts about the neuroscience of flavor. Then, we will go through the different processes and ideas on how to brew the best cup of coffee.

Also we believe that coffee is about connection, inspiration, and drive. Some of the biggest changes of humanity have been inspired and fueled by coffee. We strongly believe that now is the perfect time to share a cup of coffee.

Christian: I'm from Venezuela, I love coffee and I'm chemical engineer, specialized in food. I own Privilegium, a company focused on expressing emotions and sensations through flavor. (Located in CDMX)

Elena:globe trotter and coffee lover. I am fascinated by the fact that no matter where I go in the world, I always find a cup of coffee waiting for me. I am on a quest to find out what is it about coffee that connects us so deeply? (Located in Istanbul)

Ricardo I'm a judge in Mexico's national coffee competitions and the founder and CEO of Borola Café, one of the most emblematic specialty coffee shops in Mexico City. In other words, I'm a professional coffee taster! You can see more about me in my instagram @ricardo_lopez_coffee.

This was such good fun! Really high energy and left us buzzing. I thought I knew a lot about coffee but I found out so much more and have definitely improved my V60 and French Press skills. For a great experience, make sure you have everything prepared and to hand (as instructed beforehand) so you can keep up with the pace.

This was awesome. In 1 hour, Elena really made us understand that we haven't even started experiencing coffee before meeting her! Such a great experience.

Was a lovely way to spend our Saturday afternoon. I learned a lot not only about how to make the perfect cup of coffee but also some skills in regards to what is a great flavor and what to look out for in terms of taste and texture. The hour was very informative and the host was lovely and well informed! A great experience that I will recommend to my friends and family.

Elena was an excellent host for our coffee adventure! Although it was only an hour, the intimate setting (only two other attendees) allowed for a lot of personalized interaction including actually testing our senses by biting into different fruits/food. Elena’s passion and personality is infectious and we highly recommend this class for anyone who truly wants to understand how to make a great cup of coffee.
