What you'll do

Let us use the first sunlight of the day for a running tour in Barcelona. We will enjoy the empty streets of Barcelona in the early morning hours before the city awakes.
Starting from the city center we will discover parts of the Gothic Quarter like the roman city walls, a well hidden part of the 1900 years old aqueduct, over some of Antoni Gaudi's first works on our way to the old port of Barcelona.

Here we will see and hear about the transformation Barcelona made for the Olympic Games while running along the marinas and beachfront with a little bit luck along some super or mega yachts who dock here frequently. We will learn why the Olympic games changed the face of Barcelona, who was responsible for it and maybe more important, what was this city before it became a world famous tourism destination.

What else will we see? For Barcelona the sea was always vital and part of the history with stories about a famous explorer who reported to the Spanish King and Queen in Barcelona - and the start of a very "sweet" time in Europe. About a long war in Europe that finally ended after the siege of Barcelona on "9/11" - over 300 years ago. We will also run through the old and trendy fishermen neighbourhood El Born, seeing Barcelonas most important church before we had back to the Gothic Quarter and the Kings square.

A running tour is a physical activity. You confirm: I understand my physical limitations and am sufficiently self-aware to stop physical activity before I become injured.

I founded over 10 years the first Running Tours in Barcelona. Since then I am guiding my guests along the famous and not so popular sights and attractions. I always loved to live an active life and ran many marathons, trail running races, and triathlons. So it was obvious to combine my passion for running and history to show you my beautiful city on a run for an unforgettable experience.
I love to guide and tell stories, sharing historical background information and the anecdotes that makes us laugh. Meeting people on my tours from everywhere in the world is the big bonus for me of a life of a tour guide. I look forward to welcoming you on my running tour in Barcelona soon.
