Our guided hike on the South Kaibab Trail was amazing! Our guide was Chase and he was awesome! One of our family members was a bit concerned about a fear of heights but Chase reassured him. He got us all fitted with backpacks and trekking poles, as well as snacks for the adventure. We hiked down to Ooh Ahh and then on the Cedar Ridge. Along the way, Chase was always checking in to be sure we were doing well and also loved teaching us about the geology of the area. He’s very knowledgeable and passionate! Once we were at Cedar Ridge, he laid out a great spread for lunch and snacks while we also had a chance to rest. Next we headed back up and stopped as needed to catch our breath and also the views of the vistas. We were all thrilled with our decision to hire a guide for our hike. Highly recommend.

Chase was our guide and he was amazing! My 12 year old son and I wanted a fun, adventurous experience with someone who knew what they were doing because obviously we didn’t. Chase was not only knowledgeable about the terrain and hiking but also about the plants and animals and everything Grand Canyon!! He showed us fossils and taught us so much about Grand Canyon. If we would’ve went on the hike by ourselves we would have missed so much!! We felt safe the entire time and he made sure it was the experienced we wanted. He was great at taking pictures. He was also an awesome chef for our lunch! We ended up hiking halfway down South Kaibab trail to Skeleton Point. It was the experience of a lifetime! We couldn’t have been happier! Plus they supplied backpacks and walking sticks. I’m sore still two days later but that’s my only complaint!! Thanks Chase for priceless memories!!
