What you'll do

We will begin our journey after meeting you in your Hotel /Riad in Fes the Old Medina.
We will start by exploring the narrow streets inside the walled city, that are lined with fresh fruits, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and Traditional Hand made delights as well as many other art objects of Morocco.
As we keep walking we will visit Mosques along the way including the Quaraouiyine Mosque founded in 859 by Fatima el Fihri and the Andalusian Mosque dating back to 860 with exceptional architecture.
Then we will proceed to take a look at some Fountains including the Nejjarine fountain & the famous Museum nearby. Next, we will move to spend some time in the wonderful Medersas (Koranic schools) that was founded in the early 13th century.

Our journey has not ended yet, we will visit a museum of arts and traditions, Chouwara Tanneries, Souks including Souk Attarine and souk El Henna, one of the liveliest in the city, Bab Boujloud with its green and blue ceramics, Mellah the Jewish quarter and the 17th century Ibn Danan synagogue, the Kings Palace. Then we will have a break for lunch and to relax a little. In the afternoon we will proceed to visit the Borj north or south to see the old medina from the above and to enjoy the sunset.

Hello, my name is Hicham, and I am a local guide for more than 10 years in Morocco, I lived for so long in Fes the Medina and I wanted to share my knowledge and experience with you.

Exploring the Old Medina on your own is a little bit risky due to the numerous look-alike alleys. So through this experience I would like to introduce to you the Old Medina of Fes and its Ramparts with my team by telling you all about the Historical background and local cultural anecdotes.

Through my journey in Fes I have met many travelers from all around the world and I would be excited meet you as well.
