What you'll do

As part of Qatar Museums, our co-host Museum of Islamic Art offers unique illumination art workshop with specialized experts.

One of our expert guides will meet you at the museum reception and begin with a gallery tour of the Museum of Islamic Art. The Museum of Islamic Art, designed by world-renowned architect I.M. Pei is a landmark for the State of Qatar on the Doha skyline, rising directly from the waterline.

You will learn about the museum collection that represents the full scope and diversity of Islamic art collected from three continents. It includes manuscripts, metal, ceramics, jewelry, wood-work, textiles, glass and precious stones and showcases the evolution of the Arab culture from various geographic regions.

After the tour, we will continue with illumination art workshop. Your will have a possibility to learn details about the art of illumination and how it affects museum spaces.

Afterwards, we will continue with tour of the museum library, and then finalize the activities with specially created treasure hunt. Later, you can enjoy you time in MIA Cafe and visit MIA gift shop.
