I followed my husband to Pittsburgh five years ago and saw the opportunity to reinvent myself. Inspired by Michael's entrepreneurial spirit I decided to offer historical tours through Pittsburgh. Since I earned a Master's Degree in Art and Architectural History, and I used to live in Rome (Italy), Berlin (Germany) as well as New York City (all great places for art + architecture), I though this would be e great fit. So I founded Bike the Burgh Tours first in 2015, and added Walk the Burgh Tours a year and a half later. After two years of doing every tour myself, I found some equally passionate and enthusiastic, local tour guides who love this city and who also strive for excellence. We love to show off our city, we love our job, and we love meeting people from all around the world! Come join us while exploring the Burgh!

Get stunned by the new Alcoa building, next to PNC Park, then see Heinz Field from the view of a beautiful bridge that leads to Point State Park. Finish up at PPG Place and Market Square!

Our tour guide was Dave, who was extremely knowledgeable about Pittsburgh history, art, and architecture. As someone who has visited Pittsburgh several times in the past, I never got to see the city from this point of view. Dave spent just the right amount of time allowing us to ride, travel across the city, and pointing out interesting information along the way. There were a total of 9 on the tour (including the guide) and all COVID protocols of wearing masks and social distancing were honored, which created a safe and responsible experience.

This has got to be one of the more fun tours I have been on in a while. The tour is filled with history about the city and wonderful sites. We were so shocked at how much we explored the city!! I felt like I set foot on every piece of land in Pittsburgh thanks to the bike tour. It was easy to find, affordable, and had me falling in love with the city. If you're like me and you aren't too sure where to start when touring a new place, please take this tour. It is a great idea for the first or second day on the trip, because then you can go throughout the rest of your trip with more confidence in the layout, more knowledge of where you are/what you're looking at, and you know a bit more about the history than even some of the natives. You won'tregret it- unless you don't stretch afterwards! haha

This was an excellent way to spend an afternoon in Pittsburgh! Not only was the tour comprehensive, well planned, and beautiful, but the guide also took care to personalize points of interest to guests on tour. They were hospitable and warm and knowledgeable and I would recommend this to anyone interesting in seeing and learning more of this awesome city!

Dave was a great tour guide. Ride was safe all through the city and into the trail. Very thoughtful and takes his time explaining the history as well as answering any questions the group may have. All around helps make the experience comfortable.

Highly recommend booking this bike tour when visiting the Burgh! My husband and I decided to spend our 1yr anniversary in Pittsburgh this year and we loved this tour so much the last time we were in town, we had to do it again! It was sprinkling a bit in the morning so we were a bit hesitant but decided to go for it anyway, and lo and behold, it started snowing. It was magical! Our guide, Harry was fantastic! He really shared his love for the city and we learned so much. Book this tour, you will not be disappointed!!!
