About your host

What we’ll do

Welcome to the CubaNYC Experience, a cultural and historical tour through the Upper West Side where we visit some of the most iconic Cuban sites in Manhattan and learn about the city's rich Cuban heritage. We’ll get to know each other over a cafecito (Cuban espresso) near the José Martí statue in Central Park. This larger-than-life statue is perhaps just as relevant today as when it was…

What else you should know

Make sure to bring comfortable walking shoes and a bottle of water since New York can get pretty hot in the summer!

What I’ll provide

Cuban Maduros or Tostones
Enjoy your choice of maduros or tostones at an authentic Cuban Chinese restaurant (half order per person)
Cuban Cafecito
Fresh Cuban cafecito like you can't get anywhere else in NYC - a Miami-style colada on the stovetop cafetera with espumitas!
Caña (Sugar Cane)
Enjoy freshly cut caña (sugar cane) just like my abuelo used to bring me while learning about the sugar cane harvest mural

What to bring

Comfortable walking shoes
A water bottle
